About SDGs – Goal 13: Take Urgent Action to Combat Climate Change and its Impacts

Goal 13: Take urgent action to combat climate change and its impacts

Climate change affects human life in economic, social, and environmental aspects. The key factor causing climate change is greenhouse gases, which primarily originate from the combustion of fossil fuels as a major component. Climate change is one of the main causes of seasonal variations, natural disasters with increasingly severe trends, and widespread impacts on the economy and society. Both the public sector, private sector, civil society, and related organizations must collaborate to find approaches to reduce greenhouse gas emissions by implementing measures that address problems to prepare for climate change situations, to control the increase in global average temperature, enhance adaptive capacity and resilience to climate change impacts, and promote low-carbon development that does not affect food production systems, enabling recovery and building resilience to climate change
